The Hero's Journey - AVATAR.

I looked at Chris Vogler's: The Writers Journey to interpret my own Hero's Journey of Avatar. After watching the film again I realised that the original order in which things happen is different so I swapped parts around, to fit an order I thought the film went in.

  1. Hi Ruby

You may have missed an important aspect of the story in your analysis and instead focused on 'surface actions'. The main character is disabled and on a more abstract level the films theme is about freedom, oppression, and restriction. E.g The call to adventure, yes its his brother job but its also a chance to be mobile again.

    1. Oh yeah! Totally forgot, and during the film you get from his body language that he doesn't want to wake up from being an Avatar.
