Playblast of Ending Scene.

These are a few playblast for the last scene in my animation. The first being my first idea and then the second one was created afterwards as I found having all the characters on screen and laughing became too much. I'm looking into finding a royalty free version of 'the laughing policeman' so that I can have it faintly in the background as he's laughing.

  1. Hi Ruby - I disagree that the first version is 'too much' - I think it does work with everyone, indeed I think it's going to seem weird in the context of the '16 types' if we don't have everyone laughing along with each other. I really like it - and the idea of all the laughs fading out towards the end works, and I don't see why the policeman shouldn't be left all alone in the middle of the screen - the camera tracks towards him in silence until he's in the same sort of composition as your others were - and then the camera slows - and only THEN does he start laughing. The Laughing Policeman track I found for you is in the public domain, which means you can use it freely.

So - short version, yes, you need everyone laughing - though you may need to have the narrator doing the 'contagious' bit as just a few first appear, and when he's finished, you fade in all the rest and we have everyone laughing as per your version 1. Trust me on this, Ruby - it's what you animation needs! :)
